I wasn't expecting much as the reviews seemed so-so and for the price, well. As it turned out, the settings are practically not needed. Just copy your photos to an SD card (max 32GB I think?) and it will automatically start rotating across all your pixels. Remember I put about 100 pixels on a 16G card and I don't think I used a gigabyte. Anyway, my only real complaint has nothing to do with the frame, I think it is me. Many of my photos are sideways. I thought I changed everything before copying but they play sideways. Most don't, so never mind, but looks like I'll play with it some more. It's hard to lose money. I wouldn't worry about the resolution. On the other side of the room, about 10 feet from me, I can clearly see what's inside. I think if you have a 12" or larger screen you might need a higher resolution as it's boosted at this size, but it works well. I will buy more.
