If you look at the picture, the old one is below. The new one (the one I'm checking right now) is at the top. I just installed it yesterday and it works like a charm! The only caveat is that you have to remove the wires from the old, failed speaker and solder them to the 2 contact points on the new speaker. It's MUCH easier than it sounds and only takes a few seconds. You either need a soldering iron (any cheap one will do) or hire someone to do it. That's the only part that was new to me. If this speaker fails quicker than expected I'll update this review but for now I'm giving it 5 stars, especially since I bought two of these for $10 - great value. Now I have a backup for my favorite radar detector.
