I have the version that mounts in the vent and it works fine. The main issue is that it can't support the weight of my iPhone X and is starting to sag despite tightening from driving vibrations. Luckily, the air vents in my car are positioned over the touchscreen in a way that prevents the phone from falling all the way down, so the phone's screen is still at a readable height. Pros: Fits iPhone X even my phone has a popsocket button on the back, holds the phone firmly with foam pieces, can adjust both landscape and portrait view, easy to adjust by hand, took less than 10 minutes to install minutes. Cons: The tilt adjustment part of the phone screen may break due to vehicle vibration if the phone is too heavy. I can recommend it if your phone is lighter than the iPhone X, but I don't see it being useful for heavier phones.
