Review on Dell Inspiron Touchscreen Quad Core Bluetooth by Ryan Richards

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Very good laptop for the price

This computer has a great combination of features: 512GB SSD, touchscreen, Intel i5 and numeric keypad. Setup was successful. The touchpad is very responsive, if a little hard to press. However, the touchscreen makes up for this disadvantage. The processor handles Windows 10 and typical tasks very well. I haven't had many situations where it would overload and need the fan to turn on, which is a bit noisy, but that's true across the Inspiron lineup. Setup was easy. A plus for Dell that keeps it simple and avoids malware. Wi-Fi is very easy to connect to from the home screen and makes it easy to connect to Microsoft Office (which comes pre-installed). Just enter your Microsoft email address and password, and Office is ready to go. Other reviews have me startled by the screen, but this is decent for this price range. Brightness is more than adequate and adjustable in Windows 10's settings. I cranked it up a bit at night and found it adequate next to a bright window during the day. Response speed is good for typical things. I don't play games or edit videos on this laptop. The power supply might need an extra foot or two of cord, but it's small and light, easily fitting in a backpack. The overall weight is very good for the size, but that's because there's a lot of plastic used on the outer shell. Fingerprints aren't a problem on the screen, but are noticeable on the outer shell. I wonder about the durability if this device was constantly on the go, but mine stays at home most of the time. The keyboard is comfortable to type on and has a nice feel. I would like a backlight. I recommend this machine given the price of about $800 and the fact that the seller delivered it to us in two days, although the delivery date is 10 days. The fact that they even stocked something was amazing considering the rest of the world doesn't stock computers.
