I have machine washed and dried it and there was no shrinkage or any weird issues or surprises. This sweatshirt is made of a very light fabric. It has no fluffy inside. This means it can be worn over a shirt and won't shed when removed, nor is it as bulky as most "traditional" sweatshirts.
