I was really surprised to find a cotton duvet at this price so of course I had to buy it right away lol. I've been looking for a quilt set for my daughter for a long time. The last one we had was microfiber and it soon looked like crap. And it costs about the same as this one. So I knew I needed cotton this time. This not only lasts longer, but is also better for the environment. Polyester is just a plastic, and every time you wash it, tiny fibers break off and turn into microplastics. Not to mention the tons of cheap plastic clothes, blankets, towels, etc. that end up in landfills because they're not meant to last forever. This blanket has a 5% olefin fill, but since it's inside I don't think it will do any harm. And the pillows are filled with polyester, but you can't put them in the wash. Lately I've been very careful with the fabrics I've bought lately. I didn't want this to turn into a rant but all those cheap plastic blankets and blanket sets on here really annoyed me lol. Everyone only buys cotton. It's natural and lasts much longer
