Loud hum from my Sangean radio completely fixed! (High quality radio.) I'm thrilled. My new Schwinn 810 treadmill was producing a moderate to loud hum on many radio stations, both AM and FM. Initially, I only used the Tripp-Lite Isobar surge protector (see photo) because it has noise cancellers. (It MUST be an isobar silencer.) This reduced the hum by about 30%. I then attached 4 ferrite bead noise cancellers (13mm diameter) to the power cord next to the treadmill. It does not matter. I ended up with 12 clipons. The hum hasn't subsided here either. I then removed all the overhead suppressors and added one of those ferrite rings with a 63 x 38 x 25mm 3 loop toroidal transformer. This eliminated another 50% of the buzzing noise. Since I still had a small hum on one of the main radio channels, I decided to add another ring to the power cord (see photo). This has COMPLETELY eliminated all interference from my radio. 100% fixed! Yes, I've spent money on clip-ons, but in the end solving this problem with these two rings makes me forget the cost entirely. I might need clips in the future!?!? I know these rings aren't cheap, but it's better than listening to the buzz for hundreds of hours in the future. Much luck! Hope you have the same success.
