Review on Outdoor Ballu BFF-880R Fan, white by Stanislaw Banasiuk ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not all that bad, but there are minuses.

The noise level is acceptable, I won’t say that the fan is loud, but you can’t call it quiet either, 29 decibels are declared, I think there are about that, maybe a little more. The remote control is the simplest with 4 ons (on / speed, off, blowing mode, timer from 30 minutes to 7.5 hours)) small and convenient, put the signal at least to your head. I bought it for 1690 and I think that it is not worth it either. I compared with my former friend SCARLETT SC 174, which worked 9 years and every year for 12 hours every day from mid-May to mid-September and had a stable construction with materials of higher quality workmanship. I don't want to buy Ballu equipment anymore. Everything written above also applies to the Ballu BFF - 855 model. I had to buy them, because what I wanted is not there, and all around with this g coronavirus, and no one knows what will happen to the prices.

Pros
  • 1) Remote control (the fifth point in the heat is always motionless, you sweat less))) 2) Three speeds (according to mood or air temperature) 3) Two or three blowing modes (something like a breeze with a programmatic stop of the blades and subsequent cyclic increasing and decreasing the intensity of blowing) 4) Sleep timer (a necessary thing, since I can’t stand the heat and fall asleep only with a fan in the summer)
Cons
  • Everything described below also applies to the Ballu BFF - 855 model, the same faces - side view and in black (I bought two fans at once). Citizens, well, no matter how you swear, but the quality of materials and design is a complete hat. Tin cans and those are stronger. The legs of the cross are like jelly on the floor, and even not exactly 90 degrees between them. And this is at a price of 2050 on the Ballu website. The characteristics indicate the tilt function and it seems to be there, BUT . the head with the motor and blades tips back and not forward ! Due to the presence in the design of the locking mechanism in which there is a SPRING and a spring-loaded micro pin, and she (the head) strives to look at the ceiling! due to poor design. The head at the maximum downward slope is parallel to the floor, kapets comrades. In my Scarlett sc 174 produced in 2022 (worked for 9 years and died at one moment, the engine jammed) the slope was significant and I could direct it at least to the legs and the quality of the materials was a cut above. In this ballu, besides, the slope is not stopped by a convenient handle - a twister - a screwdriver is needed here, since there is a bolt and a nut ((. In general, I unscrewed the head of this Ballu, took out the spring, lowered it all the way down and tightened the bolt - now it doesn’t blow right into the muzzle of the face, and a little lower into the body, and most importantly now it doesn’t tip the head back. In my copy, when I turned it on for the first time, the fan started shaking at the 2nd and 3rd speeds - that is, something was not balanced - either the rotor with shaft in the motor, or the blades with their lock are crookedly cast ((( The location of the indicators of the functions enabled from the remote control on the fan housing is covered by a protective grille, unlike other manufacturers, where the display unit starts from the lower edge of the grille and everything is perfectly readable - what is on and how long the timer is set. But this is not about this model (((
