There are $10 "Pure" brushes and $60 "Silvertip" brushes. This is a small "best" badger brush for $30. Badger hair can be found at any price (better than boar or synthetic) but in three different qualities. $60 brushes have twice as many bristles - they're much fuller (bigger knot). This one looks like my travel brush. PLUS, the other brushes have a real grip. As usual with reviews, it carries absolutely no weight. It works, but I find a $10 or $60 brush better. I'll keep it (as it was a gift and I'm glad I had the experience) but I can't recommend this brush. Instead, check out Shaveway 100% Pure Badger for $10, or better yet, Parker 100% Silvertip Chrome for $60. Some find this good foam brush to be the perfect middle ground. Unfortunately, no. The Parker Silvertip is incredibly soft and flexible and makes the job so much better. If you spend more than $60, you can get more attractive pens. Edwin Jagger makes the $115 Silvertip (single grip). but why?
