Not intended for wearing in swimming pools
I put them on by the pool one day for swimming lessons and when I got out there were holes torn in the front of each shoe. There is no rubber sole covering the forefoot so they probably aren't well suited for the pool as the bottom of the pool is usually covered in a rough white finish.
