Know Your Own Product

I received them at the end of the day as always with Amazon. Their trucks pass my house 5 times a day from 6am to 4pm to 5pm, but my packages arrive around 8 or 9am. WTS it's getting late but my wife's car was out of service so it was a major repair b/c CHP LOVE to generate income for dishonest politicians so I got it right as soon as they arrived. Replacing them with a 2010 suburban isn't for the tinkerer. This setup is time consuming and if you are not careful it can cost you expensive repairs or parts and a lot of hassle. I unscrew half the west coast to get to the headlight to gently pry it out of its socket, unscrew the old one, screw in the new one, connect the wiring harness BEFORE putting it all back together (smart right?) and voila ! A fairly bright 6500K light shines onto my porch. COLD, we clean the corresponding place with alcohol and fix the resistor with the provided double stick tape and carefully fix the wire harness with the provided mini cable tie to the other corresponding section. Now I put the headlight assembly back into the socket and it is NOT seated properly? I will attach photos to show the right side VS the left side and what the assembly should look like once bolted on. I will also state WHY it is not set up properly. The distance of this lamp needs to be corrected. It's too long and hits the vertical cross member behind the headlight assembly. THIS product claims to fit my make/model, but it doesn't. This is considered false advertising and will cost me time and trouble. Research your product and check approvals before making false claims about proper fit. If a "shop" installed them, there's a good chance the poor owner will never know that these bulbs stress the entire headlight assembly and eventually cause something to fail/break/break. It could be one or more complex parts of an expensive HL assembly OR cracks caused by improper fit leading to water leaks/moisture in the assembly. I hope you understand. Just trying to educate others on proper fit and clearance. These AM parts should be subject to more stringent quality control as this kind of nonsense costs the consumer a lot of unnecessary costs in the long or even short term, and either way the real culprit is you're rolling your money away from Scott for free. I will now explore "daylights" from the gaps without trusting or believing the claims made by the vendors/manufacturers.
