Thumbholes. The fleece pocket for the cat can be unbuttoned. Nice hood. The sweatshirt is made of polyester, not cotton. If you want to accommodate a cat in it, order two sizes larger. My photos were of my monster cat, Random Lee. For a while he seemed to enjoy it. You won't magically go in there, so unless you have a cat that likes to hide under the covers, you'll have better luck with kitties. I won't put it in the dryer because I know it will shrink.
