Review on Trio Chromebook 12.5" Portable Monitor with 1920X1080 Resolution - Lightweight and Convenient by Rick Grosland

$100 bonus for weak magnet and plastic mount

UPDATE: I've now been contacted multiple times by someone associated with this manufacturer, asking them to remove my review in exchange for a $50 AWS gift card. I'm not sure if this is a scam, but if not, this behavior bothers me and defeats the purpose of an honest review. Careful. I liked it, I really tried. The idea is great, the implementation so-so. I'm really starting to question reviews on Amazon now. Pros: Pretty decent backlighting, pretty damn comparable to my laptop (if not brighter!) Crisp screen Portable and with some screen protection Cons: $250+ for a 12-inch 1080p screen? Laptop cover, no.) - Cheap cable - Presentation mode? I kept slipping off the magnetic mounts with the slightest impact. The screen is sharp and bright as hell (watch your laptop battery!). I'm not sure if this is a presentation ad. Who mirrors their laptop screen and then stares at an angle <= 90 in presentation mode? If you know what you're going to present, a pico projector is a much better tool in your kit, but that's just not my cup of tea. I could be spoiled for seeing demos of Slidejoy [currently paired software] but seeing what could theoretically be done for around the same $500 mark. made me doubt this purchase (1 slider vs 2 of these mobile pixels). After showing it to a few other streetfighters, they agreed with my assessment of the overpriced price for what you get, as well as the cheap construction. Perhaps for a developer who flies a lot and doesn't have room on a portable monitor tray, this is a good quick fix. However, I really have to ask the person who would get this jerk off the bus if the middle seat was occupied. I will most likely be returning it and buying a portable screen with a battery inside to combat the leak and a stand to set it down. roughly at the same angle and height as my laptop screen. I've since returned that monitor and replaced it with an Asus ZenScreen + Espresso Displays Mount Go by placing some metal plates (the types used to attach a phone to a magnetic mount) on top of the ZenScreen in place of my laptop. This works great for my mobile setup.
