I bought this to replace a Timex Ironman T5K403 digital-analogue men's watch, a gloss black watch with an orange strap. For Halloween, I only wear black and orange, so I needed a spare. Timex is a big chunky watch with 24mm lugs and this strap suits them well, the lugs are 6mm thick at the lugs and the thickness tapers to 3mm. It's soft, flexible, and more comfortable than the Timex band, but maybe not as strong. It fits my 7.5" wrist when tightened at the penultimate (narrowest) hole; The holes go to the bottom of the strap and I think most divers can wear it over a dry or semi dry suit. I'm not allergic to natural or synthetic rubber so I can't comment on those things. This is a regular look black strap for divers without pretense on style. If you need to wear a large and heavy watch in the water these are great for that purpose. It's a synthetic rubber, but it's strong, durable and very comfortable. It's not silicone (another type of synthetic rubber) or PVC, and it's better than both.
