Overall design and quality is ok if you are not a woman.

I am a nurse working for the DME and I need to make these shoes available to patients all the time. At first glance it appears to be unisex, but it is not. My adult daughter gets stress fractures from standing on her feet so much at work so I ordered these shoes to wear while she is on the clock. No matter where I bought them, these shoes are all the same. It must have a closed toe, so an open toe is not an option. Her shoe size is larger than mine and I know from experience that a size 7 would hardly fit in a small so we ordered a medium size for her size 8. There is a gap in the heel because it's designed for a man. foot and the shoe slips. As it is designed for men, there is too much dead space around the female leg. An "adjustable" strap cannot be pulled as tight as necessary to make it tight enough so that it doesn't just slip off at the ends like Velcro. covers approximately 1.5 square inches at the top, which means the end of the strap must line up with the patch on the side of the shoe; In other words, the Velcro on the strap doesn't cover an area long enough to attach anywhere on the strap except at the tip. Further tugging on the bottom to remove some slack is only possible to that extent due to the thickness of the double-sided Velcro square sewn to the other end. Again, the strap is long enough for a man's foot, but too long for a narrower woman's foot. And at the top, tightening the adjustable straps makes the closed end look stray and ridiculous. The overall design offers easy construction for mass production, so it costs less than $20, assuming it's close enough for most if it's not an optimal fit. Provided the correct size is ordered for the length, these shoes fit a man's foot, but are horrific in fit and adjustment (or lack of fit) for a woman's foot. We will keep it as options are limited and she needs it now for her work, but it's not perfect and I hope I don't donate it to charity because of the insufficient size.
