I don't care too much about the temperature of my sauces, but I like my froth hot. As a razor user on a budget, I bought one a few years ago so I could get a decent shave (like any man would) without spending $50-$100 on a shaving bowl. I prefer non-washing machine soaps and creams (like Proraso) so I can't use a bucket. This thing worked great even after I glued the lid back together after a few drops. As the prices of shaving accessories go up with hipsters buying things like handlebar mustache bins, prices have gone up. My advice to true blade lovers: buy one of these or something similar and give yourself a hot shave with something that has nothing more than one blade. cheers
