Love the warm color of these lights, the ability to dim them and the handy hooks and storage box, but they do it doesn't work. does not work with Alexa and smart plugs. Every time I asked Alexa to turn the light off and back on, it wouldn't come back on; I have to use the remote or press the blue button on the USB to manually turn it back on. Same thing happens when I turn my lights on and off with smart plugs. Because the smart plug cuts power to the outlet when in the off position, the light goes out and then needs to be turned on manually. Also, my TV remote changes the order of the lights. For me they were constant (not blinking) and when I changed channels with the remote they went into a blinking mode. MANUFACTURER'S SUGGESTION: Set the #1 button on the remote and the blue button on the USB port to steady (not flashing) as the default setting when the light is on, as I believe that's the setting that the most people use. Finally, the "timer" feature on the remote is a nice touch, but the lights only stay on for six hours and turn off for 18 hours, which doesn't work for me. I leave the light on 14 hours a day. I will be keeping these two sets as the price is very reasonable but I need to buy more from another seller so I can use the fixings for my staircase and mantel. LED lights with no remote and light sequencing options work with smart plugs (I already have two cool white sets that work this way), but they are brighter than I'd like, so I bought these warm white lights with dimming capabilities.
