They sound BRIGHT. Now, if you're afraid of hiss, I totally see why you might be running away from these IEMs, but I wouldn't call them hiss headphones. It really depends on what you're playing and if you're playing too loud. They'll tell you every little detail about what you're throwing at them, for better or for worse. Image, sound stage, micro details abound. Bass? It's good. It is present and precise, but not emphasized. Singers who don't sibilance naturally excel at these things. Weekend collabs with Daft Punk have never been better. The instrument separation and detail is fantastic. There are so many good things to say about these IEMs. However, when you hear a sizzling track at high volume, everyone is on a pain train. You will go deaf or you will regret not going deaf.
