Hard pants with some noticeable flaws

I'm an animal welfare officer so I need new tactical pants all the time, dogs keep jumping at me, dirty paws, dog hair, you get exercise. My employer buys me 2 pairs of 5.11 pants a year, but I've decided to buy myself a pair of pants to cover myself during these extremely dirty days. These pants are heavy duty work pants but have clear flaws. Pros - these pants have a sufficient number of pockets of different sizes. I think no longer necessary - these pants are true to size. I'm 5ft 4" and 165lbs so I bought a size 12. They fit well. They also include an elastic band around the waist that wraps around your hips when you are leaning/standing. While not required on a duty belt, overall I really appreciate this feature - the pants are incredibly light and would be the perfect weight in the summer when your employer makes you wear pants all year round. Cons: I usually buy tactical pants in the 60% polyester and 40% cotton range. These pants definitely gravitate more toward polyester. This makes them loud. As you walk, you hear a loud whistle, almost like you're wearing winter pants. Because of the blend, lint/dust sticks to the pants much more than other pants I've had. Not sure if this will hold up after a few washes, but so far I've definitely had to keep a lint roller handy to keep it looking nice. This is less the case with my higher-quality pants - the waistband of the pants is not rubberized. This is a big disadvantage for me because I have to constantly check whether my shirt is tucked in at the back. Overall I would say these are solid work pants when priced right. I would never pay more for it than bigger brands like 5.11 as they lack some features.
