Review on Larkar Dimmable Industrial Lampshade Hardwire by Sara Bertrand

Great Budget Wall Light Option

I initially ordered two versions of these lamps, one with a cone shaped lampshade and the other with a bell shaped lampshade. We kept and installed the bells and I really like them. When looking for a wall light, I had several criteria: matte black with gold, it had to be connected to the wall (not wired), dimming is a big plus, and I had to manipulate it up and down, left and right. We use them on both sides of our main bed, my husband goes to bed earlier than me so I needed an easily accessible switch (not on a cord because I'll be using paintable cord covers on the wall) and I want to flip it to where I read or embroider in bed. Here are a few observations: This is a great budget option for wall lights. The other Lamps Plus lamps I liked were way out of my budget so I thought it was great to put two of these together. My advice is to order a couple of kits so you can pick the right pair: one of every pair I ordered was defective or couldn't be flipped/rotated because it was painted over (perhaps accidentally welded on?). The shades are removable so I only swapped out the ones I wanted. Maybe the company can work on quality control. Likewise, as soon as we hung them on the wall, we noticed that they weren't quite straight. Not much, no one will ever see it (do your friends hang out in your master bedroom?), but it might bother you if you use them in the living room or bathroom. I managed to correct them a bit but they are still slightly crooked. The paint was fine, each had a few tiny spots where the paint was scratched. But it's barely noticeable, and the color was perfect for our interior.

Pros
  • ADJUSTABLE: Recessed wall lights with 270 degree adjustable head, you can maximize the light potential by adjusting the light angle. It can be adjusted up and down on the lamp head and bracket connection. The lampshade can be rotated up and down
Cons
  • threadbare
