Review on πŸŽ₯ Glide Gear TMP 500 Universal Video Camera Tripod Teleprompter 15mm Rails including Carry Case -Enhanced SEO by Julian Davidson

After some necessary modifications it works. Just read this before you buy.

I've put off writing a review until I've used it for a few months so I'll start. Honestly, it works - but not without significant problems. CONS: 1. The included 15mm rails are too short. You'll need to buy longer or extension cords, especially if you're using anything other than a DSLR.2. Bluetooth teleprompter remote control is optional but not included. They can be hard to find and sometimes expensive. The included padded bag is an absolute joke. The padding is cheap decorative foam, and the bag is just a bag. The teleprompter is cumbersome to insert and remove and offers no real protection.4. The glass dangles on a hinge and nothing prevents it from hitting the rails when loading or unloading. It is also difficult to adjust the angle when preparing to shoot.5. If you're shooting with a DSLR, you'll need a 1/4-inch 15mm mounting bracket for your monitor, audio recorder, etc., another item Glide Gear had to include to make this thing really a viable box. , I use pangshi https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00OITFVSU/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=16. This is NOT a rugged device made to last PROS: 1. With effort and additional purchases (rail extenders, bluetooth remote, different case) this teleprompter will work as needed. I've been using it with an old 10" Android tablet and the $4.99 Teleprompter Pro app and the results are good.3. The 70/30 aspect ratio beamsplitter glass is great - the cheapest teleprompters have a 60/40 aspect ratio, which diverts too much light from the camera. The ability to raise/lower the camera is a nice feature that I use all the time depending on what lens I have. A quick note about teleprompter apps if you're unfamiliar with them: good ones are worth paying for. . Free apps will annoy you and your customers with limited functionality, ads, and buggy performance.
