I bought one and the handle broke after two baths. So I got a second one and it broke again after two baths so I decided to see what was going on. I opened it and what you see is a product that is clearly not suitable for children. When the handle is lowered, the lever rises, causing another level to drop, after which bubbles form. However, the handle that your child pulls down to lift the next lever is connected to the smallest piece of plastic imaginable. When I think about it, it's a terrible design. The part that constantly moves up when the handle is down is held in place by a tiny piece of plastic. So it's no surprise that both of the ones I've owned had this part broken. Then I drilled a hole in the top and turned it into a pumping system that is almost impossible to break. Sure, the pen is "more fun," but it's not guaranteed to last long.
