This cave is a great canvas for making something beautiful in your terrarium, but be prepared to put in some legwork to really make it fit your creature. My girlfriend and I are the first Crested Gecko owners and we are still learning. In our beginner rating this product loses 2 stars on 3 main points: 1. The LED light just seems too bright at night for a nocturnal animal (and for us when we keep our Serafina in the bedroom) and there is no way to adjust it . This was fairly easy to fix with a piece of black tape over the LED, but it's worth noting.2. The product is quite fragile and leaks easily. One of the vines has broken off. I broke the edge of one of the side panels by squeezing it (not too hard) while trying to install it. And (as you can see from the attached video) we had to buy some cheap, pet-safe, waterproof putty to keep the water from leaking out so easily. In our case, this made it possible to make the beautiful piece of amethyst look more like part of a cave. In any case, the water comes out of the cave entrance too easily for my liking, broken or not, and I had to strategically put extra putty around the cave entrance to keep more moisture inside.3. The water drop is too loud (for sensitive sleeping people, which probably means sensitive exotic animals as well). The design is such that water drips into the bottom of the cave and then through holes in the bottom of the cave into a reservoir below. I think the volume is actually due to water dripping into the tank from the bottom of the cave. I put moss on the bottom to cover the drip (which could soon lead to mold - we'll have to watch our springtails hold up). We also have yet to come up with a DIY solution to drip louder into the tank. I'm not sure if this is justified for an $80 product. Serafina and her enclosure are quickly becoming my passionate, emotionally restorative hobby, so personally I don't mind. But the buyer must keep in mind that this product is far from perfect.
