Review on Portland Food Company Human Grade Pouch by Ashley Johnson

My dogs said no. for wet products

I am a strong believer in people friendly products for my pets and am willing to spend $$$ on people friendly products. However, I was disappointed with this product and my dogs threw side glances. Let's start by saying the packaging is a disaster. Food sticks to the inside and gets stuck in the bottom gusset of the bag. You grease your hand and spoon just trying to scoop it out and I have huge hands. I can't imagine how difficult this product is for people with arthritis or small hands to deal with! Unlike other human products I have purchased, this product is sticky, overly mixed and looks like a pink paste. The ingredients are indistinguishable, and while it's "human grade," it's not the least bit attractive. "Flesh slag” is probably the best way to describe it. Aside from the packaging and consistency, it depends on my pets. I have 4 Vesti - a family - and I spend a lot on products to make them last. The oldest of my messages will soon be 19, which I fully attribute to human-level nutrition. They turned away from this food together. They prefer variety in their diet and ingredients, especially turkey, are among their favorites. But the sticky, pale pink goo in those bags just wasn't for her. I admit my dogs are spoiled, they might even be snobs, but at $7 a package I was hoping for an experience that would make them wag their tails. I didn't want to leave a review (if you don't have anything to say, then why would you even say anything, right Mom?), but the seller asked for a review, and I decided that an honest review is better than none. I, whose pets are their children, I would reject this product.
