Review on πŸ’‘ Cordless Battery-Powered LED Night Lights for Hallway, Bathroom, Bedroom, Kitchen, etc. - AMIR Motion Sensor Light (White - Pack of 3) by Andy Jolley

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Added security - works for me

Only one of the three started but works as advertised. I tested it in my kitchen for about a week by taping it to a metal appliance door. The built-in magnet works, but not very strong. I bought them for cruise ships, especially inside cabins. These huts are pitch black. Getting up in the middle of the night puts your toes, knees, shins, and most other parts of your body at risk. This thing lights up as soon as you move and stays on for about 10-15 seconds after you stop moving. Easy to install as most ship cabins have metal walls and ceilings. Almost too bright for my purposes. I can mask part of the illuminated area with tape to dim it. I use alkaline batteries. I'm surprised at how well it detects movement. Mine works far beyond the specified distance. During the day it doesn't turn on as expected/specified. Great light at a good price. Update: I gave one of the three to my father-in-law and fired up the second, this time with rechargeable NiMh batteries. Left it in the kitchen to check and it has been working fine for a few weeks now.
