This duvet looks great. However, when it arrived, I took it out of the packaging and sniffed it. Almost chemical. Strong. Had to wash to get the smell out. The smell went away, but the blanket began to fall apart completely. The balls fall and the rope that binds them is ripped from the ceiling. There is also a hole in the middle of the blanket.All from one wash. This is a beautiful blanket. But if you ever want to wash it, I wouldn't buy it. I was hoping for the best and it just didn't work out. :(
