Management has changed again! Why oh why!? It gets worse with every set I buy

I bought this product again after using the previous 2 generations of the same product for just over a year. I listen to music and mostly audio books so I use these headphones most of the time. But since I need to hear my surroundings, I basically just use one at a time, alternating the left and right ear. Pros: They fit better than anything I've tried (and I've tried about 6 different BT headphone designs). over the years). I can run, jump, ride a bike, motorbike, swim and do yoga with them and they never move. They work separately (but two in third approach is worse than before). This is very important to me and I would return them if I couldn't. They sound pretty good, although now that I'm on the third pair the sound quality is getting worse. They're waterproof, which helps when I'm in the hot tub (I use the hot tub a lot) or swimming in the lake and listening - the charging case charges them about a dozen times, which is good. Having to use your laptop or wall to charge your headphones sucks. The case is also great for taking them with you and not worrying about them getting damaged. It protects and provides plenty of charging for these headphones and other devices via USBCons. If they have a low battery, they will give an alert "Battery low, please charge" or something. For example, this is the !LOUD! voice, full volume. Not the volume of the buds, but the volume of the system. Why the heck an engineer designed them that way is beyond me. In my opinion, this is just a stupid and terrible design flaw. Here's why: I often use them at night or while I'm at work. Imagine you almost fall asleep, listening to your favorite audio book in a cheerful and relaxed manner and here "AH! ADRENALINE FULL - YOUR EARPHONES DYING!'. - Abs pads are good, and mostly it's a feature, not a disadvantage. But I've included it in the cons section because, by and large, they cause more problems than they solve (not to mention wet fingertips cause them to behave erratically). I use Bluetooth devices all the time, so I often put them in the breast pockets of my shirt, jacket, etc. Every time you touch them, they start, stop, change the google assistant, etc. It really sucks to put it in, only to find out he's been playing without you for an hour. And yes, I usually have a case so I can put it in instead of a bag, but this thing comes with a lot of problems. See next mark. The controls have changed from version 1 so that the left and right earbuds will now do different things when performing a sequence of taps: the right earbud will fast-forward on a double-tap and the left earbud will rewind. Of course this doesn't work if you only use one and remember the features of Generation 1 - THE CONTROLS have changed again! Subtract a star for that - Battery life is decent, but after the low battery warning, you have less than a minute and they just shut down. It's like giving a car or motorcycle 1 mile after flipping the reserve switch. terribly often turns off accidentally. I often wear headphones right next to my phone because I need both ears to hear. Then I pick it up again and plug it in, forget about it for a few minutes and then it warns me it's shutting down. Only to reconnect after a few seconds. so bad. case. Okay I reviewed their previous version and mentioned some pros and cons consistent with this review but the case is new. The engineer decided to actually make the lid a feature of the buds. You used to put your earbuds in the charging case and turn them off. In my opinion it was a pro and I liked that I could "turn it off" like that. Why? Because they didn't have an off function. You can turn them on with a long press, but not the other way around. In this new version, placing them in the charging station will charge them, but not turn them off. Only closing the lid or turning off BT turns them off. That's a bad trait. You might think this is smart, but it's not, at least in my use cases. The reason is that there may be other devices connected to my phone or laptop and this function of the lid is interfering with it. Now on the third pair, the case and charging are terrible. I used to close them, then hold the case to my ear and listen for the "shut off" but now it doesn't even work. Another star that bites the dust is Bluetooth interference. It's less important, but the way they're designed makes them poor candidates if you're using other Bluetooth devices like headsets, speakers, etc., as you'll get constant interference and weird, unexpected behavior. The engineer and tester obviously didn't think this through. I would recommend extensive testing with other BT devices. Overall, this could be a five (*****) star product. However, since my use of BT is complex and the engineers don't really understand how people use it, I'm reducing the rating to one star. Lately I've been more frustrated and upset with her than I love her, so I'm done. I will not buy these headphones again.
