Frosted glass is ideal for drawing and writing. I even like the feel of just touching the iPad. The sound of a pencil on paper and the screen no longer feels slippery. The pencil has better control, which has always been lacking with smooth glass. It always felt exactly like plastic on glass. The graininess of the matte surface is perfect, neither slippery nor too grainy. The pencil now appears like a real artistic tool. I haven't used it long enough to determine its durability or effect on pencil points. But just in case I bought some more feathers. I'm not very stiff so I don't expect to burn out the springs like some people have mentioned. The glass construction is definitely better than the competition and better protects the iPad screen. It seems that the touch sensitivity is almost the same as without the protector, but the touch sensitivity is slightly reduced. However, it's worth it for those who use their iPad as an art canvas, take notes, or just use a pencil for whatever.
