I didn't know how to deal with all the PS5 hype of switching the game to 3D sound with controllers. I tested the controllers first and was blown away by how damn good they are. It's just that a game as simple as Astro's Playroom (which was supposed to showcase both a controller and a headset) gave the game a whole new feel. Then I tried it with a headset and yes, it's the perfect PS5 headset. Even with a normal home theater setup, the PS5's sound is great as always, but you don't get a natural 3D experience when you put on your headphones, everything in the game changes completely. Even a PS4 game like Blair Witch gets buffed. I wanted to test out some PS4 games that I knew well just to see if there's a big difference, and yes there is. Games may not be designed to be updated by Sony, but they benefit greatly from it. I'm sure Sony will update the game with a new set next year, but for now it's the right choice.
