Review on SilBlade 2222 Premium Wiper Blade by Chad Sornsin

but they are absolutely great and last over 10

I was looking for replacement wipers for my GLK 350. Genuine (OEM) Mercedes wiper blades usually cost at least $50, but they are absolutely gorgeous and last 10,000+ miles. However, when I found out they were made by Bosch, I started buying cheaper Bosch brand wipers. Having said that, I decided to take a chance and buy SilBlade wipers because I'm fed up with either (1) poor quality wipers (doesn't make a clean strip) or (2) wipers that don't last long (<1000 miles or start skipping shortly after purchase). We have cold winters in the Northeast with occasional rain and snow. If the weather doesn't wear out the wipers, the cold will wear out the tires. Besides OEM, I've tried Rain-X, Bosch and Trico Neoform (aka Napa). Most GLK owners trust Trico, but I've tried about 3-4 pairs of their brand. In my experience, Trico wipers are cheaply made (you get what you pay for since they're cheap), don't leave clean streaks, and start bouncing after temperatures drop. I have used Rain-X which are average quality and value. They last about 10,000 miles and then start to show signs of wear. I've had mixed experiences with non-OEM Bosch blades, but they didn't fit my machine's side pen holders. I've had SilBlades for hundreds of miles. At first glance, the quality is above average. They are uniquely designed and use different rubber textures. Their versatile design fits snugly in my car's side stud holders, but most importantly, the curved design follows the contour of the window perfectly, leaving a clean strip with no gaps or noise. So far I'm impressed. They cost the same as Rain-X and Bosch wipers and I recommend them to European car owners.
