Review on πŸ“¦ Retractable Adjustable Scotch Packaging Solution 3850 ST by Terrence Castillo

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good product, serves its purpose, needs improvement

I don't know if I should give it 3 or 4 stars. Got it. Pros: Gets the job done, durable, comfortable grip, visually appealing. Cons: Cheaper options with supposedly better quality, not easy to use. It works at about par or maybe just below par. It may just be my technique, but sometimes I find the tape difficult to cut, and I've tried pressing hard (although not breaking the plastic plane), pulling straight and evenly, pulling with one side of the blade first , and it does not work I do not work. It doesn't seem to matter. The blade looks like it could go further. It's definitely sharp enough, but could do with a bit more (maybe 2mm). There was a retail packaging sticker on the metal plate in front of the blade. It was a crappy sticker so it left a lot of stains that took a little grease and rubbing alcohol to remove. The strap also sometimes seems to have holding issues after being torn off. Fast gluing the cardboard may cause the tape to curl and clump, causing a temporary delay. It's comfortable to hold and in tune, and it's all in one go. There is an adjustable knob to change the resistance of the tape roller. I think I'll buy another one next time.

Pros
  • Strong, durable, solvent free hot melt adhesive that seals and protects
Cons
  • small items
