I was a little skeptical about a Chinese brand I wasn't familiar with, but basically it turned out to be a great machine. I can't find any malware in my install and it works great. The aluminum body has good workmanship, is durable and does not get very hot. The only bummer is that the unbranded SSD died after a year. I had to buy a new one and reinstall Windows (which was pretty easy because the license was stored digitally on the motherboard). The included SSD was somehow unnamed. If I had to do it all over again, I would take the smallest possible SSD and replace it with a good one right away. Luckily I had an online backup service so restoring all my data didn't incur any additional costs. A computer repair shop could do this, but it would cost around $200. For this particular i5 processor, running as hard as it could, it was only consuming about 20 watts and I haven't been able to get the processor hotter than 60 or 70C (rated limit is 100C). The case gets warm, but not dangerous or anything like that. And I delved into the Windows 10 power settings and reduced the maximum performance from 100% to 99%. It doesn't seem like a huge change, but it does appear to disable the somewhat power-hungry overclocking feature, meaning you're saving a lot of power for a relatively modest speed reduction. For the things I do (spreadsheets, video transcoding, some gaming), it's still a fairly fast computer, even at 99% settings, and most of the time it's only around 3W, maxing out at 10W. The body doesn't even get very much hot. When the brightness is turned down slightly on my modern 21" LED monitor, the whole system typically draws less than 10W and is still quite powerful. Room! And of course it's completely silent, so the hum I used to hear from my old box if I left it on overnight to do some work doesn't bother me when I'm trying to sleep. It's a nice car and I'm pleasantly surprised despite my relatively high expectations!
