Review on ๐Ÿพ High-Quality SturdiBag Pet Carrier, Large Size, Navy - Perfect for Travel! by Tammy Strinden

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Suitable for Delta Boeing 767-400ER Aisle C Economy Class! and Delta MD-88.

Flew a Delta Boeing 767-400ER with a cat. The seat size they gave me for the bottom seat was 14" x 12" x 8.5"H. I was so worried that it wouldn't fit. After a LOT of seat research on this plane I settled on Seat 23C. Aisle in economy class. The top was lowered a bit under the seat but no big deal. The reason I chose aisle C was that under every other aisle in economy and comfort class (I think Pets are not allowed in First Class on this flight (because of the seats that recline all the way back), there was either an electronics box that was about 3 inches from the width, or some sort of air vent on the underside of the seat , which was 1.5 to 2" off the height. C was the only one without any obstruction, which gave me a full 14"X12"X10"H or 11"H. After launch, I pulled out the transport box to make mine cat and give her that extra inch or so in height.. We had one Stopover at ATL where my cat was given the opportunity to use the portable tray I brought.Of course he didn't leave but was happy to walk around for a while before our next flight. Btw, ATL airport is really clean, new pet friendly areas all over the airport :) On our second flight which was about an hour and a half, we flew a Delta MD-88, aisle seat 21D. My cat crawled under this seat with no problem. This seat had MORE room than the previous Delta 767-400ER. The TSA agent who helped me through security wanted to know which carrier it was and inquired about the quality of the product. I was very proud of my operator lol so I gave him good recommendations. Just in case a Delta Gate agent or ticketing agent gave me problems, I trimmed the bottom base to 15 inches (removed 3 inches), which didn't affect the strength of the product at all. I just had to make sure it was centered. I also took out a piece of styrofoam for the cat bed and put in a dry fur pee pad for the trip. The dry fur pad also has some texture but there is more bounce so it helped keep the stretcher from becoming brittle after I cut out the bottom base. My cat was still a full 18 inches long enough to stretch out, but I was able to show the agents that it was pretty close to the required measurements under the seat. Oh, and they never asked for measurements or anything, so you probably won't have a sizing issue. The vents/windows were PERFECT for my cat. I love how they include flaps to close windows/doors to make my cat feel more secure. I closed the door's largest vent and one of the top windows, leaving the rear and other top windows open to the air. The lid flaps gave me an extra sense of security so my cat wouldn't scratch or unzip. Pooh. Believe me he did his best. His vet and vets are always commenting on how strong he is, so this stretcher is definitely well made. (**Cut your cat's claws a few days before your flight!**). Another thing this carrier has is a clip on each zipper to keep the cat from running away. My cat knows how to get out of the carrier with paws and claws so this was essential for me. This company blew me away with every little detail of this carrier. I've recently suffered from a back spasm and recurring shoulder pain so I was concerned about carrying my 13-14 lb cat to airports. The shoulder strap is so strong and so comfortable! I like how it attaches to the carrier with 4 points instead of 2 like most pet carriers. This reduces stress on hooks and clips. I really cannot praise this product highly.
