The mirror looked great until I turned on the light. The brightness is okay, but there are traces of color on the white etched part of the mirror through which the light passes. Glad I plugged it in before installing it - you never know what you're going to get with products from China so I plugged it in while it was still in the box. I was shocked to see black fingerprints and what appeared to be black paint. both sides of the glass from one end to the other. I was hoping it was just dust and have tried cleaning it with different cleaning solutions but it is permanent. If it's color in front of a mirror, which I don't understand, then there's no black anywhere on the mirror, just an aluminum frame. The strip of light behind the mirror is poorly applied and uneven in places, the light also shines behind the mirror (no deflector available). ) such that the light casts light and shadows on the wall behind the mirror, any imperfections in your wall will be greatly exaggerated by the light shining through the wall. A cheap piece of plastic that would serve as a reflector would easily solve this problem. All it took was turning on the light AND looking at HIM. Obviously nobody did this, or the quality specialist was blind and checked by touch. I didn't remember ordering this from Revain and was very happy to see what it was - Revain always stand behind their products so the return process will be easy. I'll take a chance and order a replacement - all reviews are good - so I don't understand why my mirror is in such bad shape.
