I use them more than I thought I would. I'm allergic to grass/dust so the dust from mowing and trimming always leaves me with a stuffy nose and sneezing for the next two days. I needed something that would help me filter the air I breathe without looking like I was trying to avoid a chemical attack. I had doubts they would provide adequate filtration. Much to my surprise, they work great for me! I use one as a headband to collect sweat and keep it from getting on my glasses and in my eyes. I use the other as a face mask which also protects most of my face and neck from the sun. Add a baseball cap and hearing protection and you're done. Dampening them a bit before use will also give you some evaporative cooling. I no longer mow or cut my hair without her. I use it as a headband for almost all of my outdoor summer work. If you wear prescription glasses, you know how important it is to keep your glasses clean when you sweat profusely. They absorb sweat and also help keep the goggles on your ears.
