They have been packaged in a silk pouch with bubble wrap protecting them inside. I am very careful with stones and one of my ears tends to hurt when inserting double plugs. I had no trouble putting them in and they seem so smooth. I've had double flare plugs slip out once or twice because they weren't flared enough and I haven't had this problem. They seem to be the perfect size to me and I am very happy with my purchase.
