Seems like a good idea, but the best part is they're always on, even in daylight, and the LED strip is pretty big for power. In the bedroom hallway to the 2 children's rooms he will be almost dead in 3 days. There is no sensitivity adjustment and no automatic daylight cut-off. They're perfect for a closet with a narrow door, maybe a garden shed or something that's dark during the day and doesn't get a lot of traffic. But even then, I bet he ends up dead quite often.
