I really like this radio holder over open pockets because it is much more versatile, durable and can hold many handheld radios. When using a speaker mic on some radios, I can't fit it into the open-topped closed case due to the bulky mount on the side of most radios. Velcro closure, general open-air style, as well as elastic drawstring strap and snap button closure. Once properly secured your radio won't go anywhere, you can run, jump, climb, clamber into a tassel or whatever, all is fine. I'm seriously considering buying a second one for my other duty belt.
