They fit perfectly for my purposes. I have so many sweaters and I keep them folded on the top shelf of my closet. Over time, they fall on top of each other and a big mess ensues. These dividers fit easily around the edge of my wooden shelf and allow me to separate stacks of sweaters. It looks a lot neater and the baffles feel stable and sturdy. I'm glad they are metal and not plastic as I think they will hold up better over time. They're also great for separating wallets on a shelf. I just wish they were a little bigger but they work great and the price is reasonable.
