I switched from Avoderm wet puppy food. The reason I switched is that the Blue Buffalo wet food was easier to fill with toys that I then later froze as treats. My puppy was only 3 days old when I switched his food to BB and noticed that same night he now had diarrhea. It was 5 days before I finally thought of checking his diet. My pup wouldn't eat it either unless he was hungry. You should have trusted him. A few years ago my longtime vet mentioned that Blue Buffalo was a poor choice. Although I couldn't remember why she said that. I did a quick search and found that diarrhea is very common in dogs that eat blue buffalo, as well as other gastrointestinal issues that go away when blue buffalo is eliminated from the diet. Apparently there was a major lawsuit a few years ago in which BB was forced to admit that the food contained ingredients that weren't on the label. They claimed it wasn't their fault they outsourced the actual food production to other companies. I think that makes them terrible. You have never thought about performing a quality control? Even more worrying is that it is not known if this issue has ever been resolved. Based on my experience and that of many other dog owners (found during my research) I suspect this is not the case. I switched my pup's diet back to Avoderm 3 days ago and he hasn't had diarrhea since.
