I installed these in my son's new playroom. I chose them because I wanted something fun and whimsical. What I received was a product with a cute premise but a toddler's craftsmanship and engineering. Problem #1 was that there were no markings on the wire guide. Not the end of the world, I checked the continuity between the wires and the contact points in the lamp housing with my multimeter. One of them was brown hot and blue was neutral. The other red was hot and the black was neutral. I connected and installed them. The nut on the back can't be tightened enough to make things feel secure and not turn with minimal effort. Then the round rosette covering the wall mounted junction box is wide enough to cover the inside of it, exposing the outside plastic edge of the box which looks awful. The pad does not fit snugly against the wall. It was too heavy and the screws on the side couldn't tighten it enough because it wouldn't come off the wall. Also, they say the swing length is adjustable. I loosened the allen screws but only got 1/4" adjustment. It's so long I think by the time my son is another year older he'll be able to grab it, and with materials of inferior quality Quality he could pull it all the way out of the wall I think without even trying They use they are 20 or even 22 gauge which seems very flimsy I worry if they even pass the code on review. They also didn't have a base for a lamp.All in all I can't believe they have so many reviews.My guess is that maybe they are popular in other countries with different standards or the people who buy them don't have standards themselves This is a big waste of time and money.
