Took a seat today. I was worried it wouldn't work because my 8 year old bike has a rear handbrake. I read another review that said it works with the rear handbrake and as it's almost Christmas I took a chance. I'm so glad I did! Here are some tips on getting the saddle to work if the bike has a rear handbrake. First, I attached the Easy Bracket to the underside of the seat by inserting the metal tab into the slot and lining up the screw holes as instructed. I had to figure out the rest of the steps on my own because of the handbrake without instructions. I did not use the bracket screw that came with the seat. I simply secured the seat with the bolt system used for the handbrake. I removed the bottom screw, not the top of the handbrake assembly. Remove the lower handbrake bolt and washers. With the brake on, simply lift the bolt straight up. Attach the Easy Bracket and seat with a hole for the crossbar, and then simply slip the handbrake bolt onto it and re-attach using the washer and bolts already included in the handbrake kit. I had to give up a puck because of the extra space. I also unscrewed my daughter's bike seat, lifted it up a bit and tightened it again. The fit is perfect and she will love it when Santa brings it to her in a few days. Hope that helps! Have fun shopping
