I have been using Fancy Feast Classics for many years. My first cat came to me when he was 5 years old with struvite crystals in his kidneys. After a shelf of Crystal Cleanse prescription food, my vet recommended Fancy Feast "Classic" with the emphasis on "CLASSIC ONLY" as they contain no wheat gluten and do not cause crystal formation. She ate this food for 15 years and lived to be 20 before she died. While eating this food, she did not form crystals. 6 months ago I picked up an unwanted 8 month old kitten and put it on the same shelf at 2 cans a day and she fluffed up nicely. I had a quality control issue with a box of groceries and the jars were bad, all bloated and swollen. I contacted Purina with the serial numbers on the jars, photos and offered to return the jars to them. They took care of it immediately and were very polite.
