you are right. Goatskin gloves are softer and feel more comfortable! These are now my favorite riding gloves. They figured out how to protect the back of the hand without restricting movement. It's the top layer for freedom of movement! A great idea! Look at the pictures and note the many, many areas of reinforcement/padding, all in the right places but with flexibility and twist. The palm is good, the fingertips are excellent. The extra work on the thumb joint is great, and each piece of bone gets its own pad.
