Review on 🎙️ Shure MVL Lavalier Microphone (Black): High-Quality Audio Recording Solution by Allison Sanchez

I am currently giving a 2 star rating because my product is defective. Will contact Shure in the morning as they have a guarantee. Feedback changes when properly managed. Amazon delivered the part faster than expected. I ordered on Monday evening and received it on Thursday afternoon (today). I was very excited to improve my microphone setup, so I immediately opened the box. Everything looked high quality, the mic itself is small but solid and comes with a sturdy metal clip. The manual says this works if you plug it directly into a recorder and don't cover the windshield too tightly (leave room for air movement). I did all this on my PC first, just like I did with my old 3.5. mm microphone. I didn't have a recording so I checked the input of the recording device and everything was fine. I then tried it with my Xbox controller and a 3.5mm headphone/mic splitter. Headphones worked but not the microphone. Then I tried the Shure app on my iPhone, but it still won't even read it. The same goes for my camera, it doesn't record any sound. Eventually I use my computer again with FL Studio and it picks up the sound of the helicopter as if something is definitely broken there. Just looking for a good omnidirectional/stereo mic under $100. I'll be patient and try a replacement, but if it takes too long I'll just get another mic.
