I love using this hair product. I have type 4 tight curls (very tight and very small spirals). I've found that I get the best results by using a little clay and lots of apple cider vinegar to get a watery consistency. My hair just absorbs it like a sponge. The only thing I don't like is that the tone is hard to get out of my hair. Even if I don't let it dry on my hair, I still find small chunks of clay (looks like sand in my hair from a trip to the beach) even after multiple washes and rinses. My only solution is to use less clay and more apple cider vinegar, but maybe soaking the hair, moving it in still water and leaving the clay down would work?) The clay pieces don't bother me much because I keep using this stuff for years.
