Overall a great backpack just a little bigger than I expected. My friend has an older version and I ordered based on his size as it was a smaller bag and I loved it. Upon receipt - it is much larger than expected and I had to order a smaller size, although I have a full DSLR I only have two lenses (18-55mm which are usually attached to the body and a zoom lens). I'm 5ft 6" and find it a bit long on my back. So if you are smaller, this is something to consider. Even though it's bigger than I wanted, I like it enough to keep it. Have used it a few times and there is indeed plenty of storage space at the top for other things so easy to take with you when flying. I also appreciate the water bottle pouches on either side, nice and stretchy and they seem to secure things well. It probably won't become the bag I carry around when exploring cities or hiking, unless I need more stuff than usual, which is something I was really hoping to use it for.
