My new everyday drivers.

Spoiler alert: JLab is preparing another hit. I definitely like the mini aviator style design with the black matte finish that repels fingerprints. The clamshell holdall is good too, if a bit bulky. I was immediately struck by how lightweight the headset is. The headband is fairly flexible and is encased in well-stitched leather that seems to last a long time. The cups are made of hard plastic that doesn't look cheap and are held in place by a wire that offers good resistance to twisting. There are a few audio cables, but they don't ruin the look or get in the way. The ear cushions are made of soft, breathable fabric, which unfortunately cannot be removed for cleaning. They are fully collapsible which makes them quite portable if the case is too big for a book bag. All controls and the USB-C power input are on the right earcup, which is fine, although I'd prefer to split it between the two. The controls are very tactile and responsive, and I love the pop-up mute button. The retractable mic is barely noticeable, and the output is a very flexible (almost too flexible?) blue headband, which I'd rather have black as that's the only thing that makes the set look more toy-like. , in my experience the Play Pros are so handy it's easy to forget they're on. The clamping force is strong enough to keep it in place but light enough to avoid excessive pressure. A little more cushioning could have been used on the headband, but since the headphones are very light, this wasn't a problem for my medium-sized head. The ear cushions are very soft and do not irritate the ears even if worn for several hours. Because the material is breathable, I never felt hot or sweaty. Note, however, that there is a slight loss of sound at higher volumes. Although the shape of everyone's ears is different, my ears fit in well. I also like that they don't stand out too much. The Play Pro comes with Bluetooth 5.0 and pairing with any device was a breeze. I was able to keep in touch while walking around my medium sized apartment. Included are the usual AAC and SBC audio codecs, I didn't notice any lag when watching video content. Since they have to have 60ms latency, it really made it easier to play games, especially competitive first-person games. The multipoint support is incredibly helpful as I was able to connect my laptop and phone at the same time. The smooth and flawless switching between the two is amazing. Even some kits that are 2-3 times more expensive don't have this feature. If that's not enough, you can also use these cans with the included 3.5 mm audio cable, which has a handy volume rocker. Ideal if the amazing 60 hours. The battery life is for rent. Everything is fine with the microphone on the boom. My voice was clear and loud, but lacked richness. While I wouldn't use it for podcasting or professional recording, the mic worked well when using Bluetooth, or slightly better with an optional cable. Out of the box I found the sound awful and thought I might have a defective unit. After checking all the features, I found that by default, the headphones are in "gaming" mode, which pushes the mids out to make certain sounds sound clearer. As soon as I selected the "Music" mode, the sound immediately became more pleasant. The bass was full and had some impact. There's quite a bit of sub-bass. While the mids were a bit pinched, I can still hear vocals, rhythm instruments, and dialogue just fine. High frequencies are only slightly emphasized and are never harsh or fatiguing. Even at high volume, the sound is not distorted. Good channel separation, especially in Dolby Atmos on the PC. Spatial awareness and soundstage were implemented well as I had no trouble identifying the source of the sound. Overall I'm impressed with the looks, functional design, comfort, versatility and decent sound. The icing on the cake is the incredible price. In the end I think I've found my new daily drivers.
