So I had a lot of interchangeable boots to compare to this one. In a word, it's cheap. The rubber is 1/2-1/4 thicker than you would expect from a rubber boot. In fact, rubber isn't really rubber - it's a semi-flexible black plastic that almost doesn't stretch, meaning it will break if you apply force to it. The shifter center hole will not stretch to accommodate a larger diameter than shown in the picture - if you try to stretch it it will tear. The diameter given in the description is the outside diameter of the mounting ring, not the inside diameter. Its inner diameter is about 3.5 inches. If you look closely at the picture, you can see how thin this thing is. The mounting ring is very thin and looks cheap. Lots of good quality square or rectangular shoes, but no round ones. These are replica replacement boots, not real replacement boots. to be something like a gear lever in a plastic Barbie children's toy car.
