Review on 🎤 Audio-Technica AT4053B Hypercardioid Condenser Microphone: Superior Sound Quality for Professional Recording by Linda Floyd

I do a lot of interviews and have used a variety of shotgun and supercardioid mics before purchasing this mic. I found these mics a bit empty and echoing when recording indoors, and they tended to pick up a lot more background noise than I wanted. However, working with this microphone was a real pleasure. It's much more forgiving in its direction, which comes in handy especially when shooting with people who are inexperienced with the camera and tend to move and fidget. However, it appears to offer more rear cancellation, which significantly reduces echo. It also offers a much fuller sound and seems to cancel out a lot more background noise than other mics I've used. While I'll stick with directional mics for outdoor use, this is and will always be my go-to indoor mic!
